How did I change from, I can not – to I can?

  • I can not write.
  • I can not type fast.
  • I can not.
  • I can not change.    So how did I shift from believing I can not, to I can? With stating the Truth over and over and adding in baby steps.
  1. I repeatedly removed the words, I can not from my mind. Whenever I said, I can not. I stopped and said, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13 NASB).That does not mean I can do ALL things, that means I can do what God has called me to do. As God will enable me .
  2.   And as I stepped, I voiced TRUTH aloud.
  3. Then I began to defeat the lies more so in the area of my writing through this process of morning pages.  “That’s worthless writing. You’ve got to be kidding me! You think you’re a writer? Ha! And on and on the verbal attacks hurl destructive words that stop a writer.
  4. Do you relate? It’s a wonder we get any writing done.
  5. But what do you do when you believe God has called you to write?
  6. Do you allow the verbal war to continue? If so, it can be exhausting!
  7. How do you give words the breath and life they deserve, and resurrect them from the grave like a long lost buried treasure?
