I know that answer and it is no, He has not. God knows you. God sees you. God cares.
So what do I do then? I feel God has forgotten me and my life is not changing for the better.
Change up the lie, that He has forgotten you to the truth. Read Psalm 139, ” O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down,
And are intimately acquainted with all my ways” (v 1-3).
God knows you. It’s a choice of shifting your thoughts to the truth.
I teach women to build a list of the truths (verses) that you believe in without a doubt. And begin to add to that list.
For example, for years I lived in emotional abuse.
That is when someone over a period of time and the same person continually devalues you.
Maybe the person doesn’t call you by name, doesn’t acknowledge you, or talk to you by inviting you into a conversation.
Plus they love to control, especially men or women that are narcissist.
They want to make all the decisions and you are to agree with them.
IF you go against them they just know how to make it look like it is your fault. You may begin to believe the lies about yourself. And over time you may feel like you are going crazy.
So where do you turn when you think God has forgotten you?
For me, I KEPT turning to God and to the Word…as it is truth. It is. God’s word works.
I knew this verse and I clung to it. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 states, “ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction so that we will be able to comfort those who are in any affliction with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.”
I knew if I waited for God to show me each step to take and if I allowed Him to comfort me, He would use that PAIN or difficulty in my life to comfort others.
And dear one, why do you think, I have my own coaching business, speak, teach, and write on behalf of women? I get this pain. I get this question. I know God has not forgotten you.
